A guide to your photo session

WELCOME!

Thanks for booking! I look forward to celebrating with you and creating beautiful images together. This guide was created to be a go-to resource to help you have the best experience and create memorable images.

BEFORE THE SESSION

I want to make the most of your time during your session and that involves having a plan. Now that you've booked and we have a date and time on the schedule, it's time to talk about your vision and ideas for your photo session! I have a beautiful closet of dresses, fabric, and accessories for you to use but you are not obligated to use what I have. Take some time to look on Pinterest or IG for inspiration. We will schedule a 20-30 minute wardrobe/style consultation (video chat) this week so we can confirm your choices.

In addition to this prep guide, I will also send you a questionnaire to help me learn a bit more about you!

Your session will take place in my studio in Snellville, GA. I will also be in contact with you 2-3 days before the photo session to make sure we are on the same page and to answer any additional questions you may have. Remember, you can always reach me via email, text, or phone if you have any questions.

WHAT TO BRING:

*Clean face and headband or hair tie to use during your make-up session.

*Sexy heels and your smile are a must! I’m also a big fan of body shapers! Depending on the type of session, we can go into specific details for your 'what-to-bring' list. We will discuss all the things during our wardrobe/style consultation.

*Depending on the different outfits and dresses you will wear, the best underwear color is nude color. It will allow you to wear dark, white, and even see-through options. If you really don’t have nude underwear, bring a set of white and a set of black ones.

TIPS:

*Get plenty of rest

*Hydrate

*Manicured hands and feet (color is not required)

THE SESSION

TIMELINESS:

Please show up for your make-up session at least 10 min early. I will be ready to start shooting right after your make-up is done (about 1 hour)! So exciting! I will also provide water, juice, and light snacks for a little pick me up!

SESSION DAY:

I will have a list to remind us of what you are wearing and the corresponding backdrop. Don't worry about how to pose, I will guide you during the shoot to create the best images! Although it's a fun day, it can be a bit exhausting. I recommend you go home, take a breather, and have dinner with someone special before you take off your make-up!

AFTER THE SESSION

I will get to work on culling your images down to the very best of the best. Those images will be lightly edited and 3-7 days after your session you will receive a link to an online album for selection of final images for complete editing. Remember $200 will be applied to the package you choose! Once you've selected your favorite images, I will send them to the editor for the final editing and touch ups. Expect your final digital and printed images 2-3 weeks from day of selecting your images.

Downloading your files:

Once you download them, I suggest you make a second copy of the files, then save the two copies to two different locations - I generally recommend that one copy be saved to an easily accessible drive (either on your computer or on an external hard drive), and that the other get saved to the cloud (Dropbox, Google Drive, etc.).

Copyrights (and wrongs):

Once you've got your digital files in hand, you are free to print them when, where, and as often as you wish - you can use them to make holiday cards, share on your social media pages or personal blog, etc. The only things you can't do are related to the resale of your photos or use for commercial/business purposes. For instance, you wouldn't be able to enter one of the photos into a contest and win prize money for it. Otherwise, you've got free reign.

Printing your images:

Although you will receive high end professional prints from your portrait package selection or from ordering from my online store, I recognize that you may want to print your images yourself, and thanks to those digital files, you absolutely can! I recommend mpix.com for online prints. Be sure to de-select any color correction options, and remember to upload the original files you downloaded, not copies. The files you receive from me should allow you to print up to 20x30" at minimum.

Thanks again!
