A guide to your photo session

WELCOME!

Thanks for booking! I look forward to celebrating with you and creating beautiful images together. This guide was created to be a go-to resource to help you have the best experience and create the best images!

BEFORE THE SESSION

Your session will take place in my studio in Snellville, GA. I will also be in contact with you 2-3 days before the photo session to make sure we are on the same page and to answer any additional questions you may have. Remember, you can always reach me via email, text, or phone if you have any additional questions.

CLOTHING CHOICES:

Now that you’ve booked we need to finalize what you will wear. I want to make the most of your time during your session and capture the best images possible and that involves having a plan. I will schedule a 20-30 min wardrobe/styling consultation this week so we can narrow down your choices.

WHAT TO BRING:

Heels and your smile are a must! I’m also a big fan of body shapers! I recommend bringing a few options but we can go over all of the details during our styling consultation.

A FEW TIPS:

  • Stick with simple jewelry
  • Bring more than one outfit
  • Jeans can be one option
  • Jewel tones are great on camera
  • Fitted is best

THE SESSION

TIMELINESS:

Please show up for your session at least 10 min early. If you are getting make-up, I will be ready to start shooting right after your make-up is done! I will also provide water, juice, and light snacks for a little pick me up!

SESSION DAY:

I will have a list to remind us of what you are wearing and the corresponding backdrop. Don't worry about how to pose, I will guide you during the shoot to create the best images!

AFTER THE SESSION

After your session, I will get to work on culling your images down to the very best of the best. Those images will be lightly edited and placed in an online album for you to select your favorite images. Once your favorite images are selected, they will be fully edited and a link to the final images will be sent to you for downloading. Expect to receive your final images 3 weeks from the day of your photoshoot.

Downloading your files:

Once you download them, I suggest you make a second copy of the files, then save the two copies to two different locations - I generally recommend that one copy be saved to an easily accessible drive (either on your computer or on an external hard drive), and that the other get saved to the cloud (Dropbox, Google Drive, etc.).

Copyrights (and wrongs):

Once you've got your digital files in hand, you are free to print them when, where, and as often as you wish - you can use them to make holiday cards, share on your social media pages or personal blog, etc. The only things you can't do are related to the resale of your photos or use for commercial/business purposes.

Printing your images:

While everything that I offer in my store is printed in professional labs and guaranteed to be beautiful, I also recognize that you may want to print your images yourself, and thanks to those digital files, you absolutely can! I recommend mpix.com for online prints. Be sure to de-select any color correction options, and be sure to upload the original files you downloaded, not copies. The files you receive from me should allow you to print up to 20x30" at minimum.

Thanks again!
